Super Guarantee (SG)

The Superannuation Guarantee (SG) is the compulsory payment your employer makes into your super fund as part of your earnings/income.

Quick Reference:

Employer Contribution. Quarterly (Minimum). Long Term Savings.

Expanded Explanation:

The Superannuation Guarantee is a cornerstone of Australia’s retirement system. Employers must pay a percentage of your income, currently 11.5%, into your nominated superannuation account. This money is invested on your behalf and grows over time to provide income in retirement. Employers who fail to make these payments can face penalties from the ATO. You can view SG payments through your payslip or your super fund.
